The book comprises two parts: Dialogue of Council and Discourse on Utopia. It is a work of fiction and satire by Thomas More (1478-1535), depicting a fictional island society and its religious, social, and political customs.

Thomas More (1478-1535) opposed King Henry VIII's separation from the Catholic Church, and refused to acknowledge Henry as Supreme Head of the Church of England. While awaiting execution for refusing to betray his faith, More wrote this fictional dialogue set in 16th century Hungary. The dialogue takes place between a young man, Vincent, and his wise old uncle, Anthony. Vincent fears a Turkish invasion which could force him to either betray his faith or die a martyr.

On July 27, 2004, at the Paulist Center in Boston, a symposium was held at the Democratic National Convention. The symposium, entitled "Building the Peace Movement", was moderated by Mimi Kennedy. All is not well in the subterranean realm of The East End Reaper. The black markets of the capital are his: objective achieved. And so, he's off to the ends of the galaxy to deal with past demons - leaving a trail of mayhem which leads Song and Henchard, and the Reaper himself, to a most unexpected conclusion.
