Book 3 left us on a cliffhanger, when in the middle of a superpower-infused battle with the CBGs, Mother took control of Dorian Gray’s mind and had her teleport Gideon and an unconscious Stella to the middle of nowhere in an empty Nevada desert. Well, nearly empty. It turns out that "the middle of nowhere" happens to be the home of a man Gideon has never met, but who is inextricably tied to his fate.

But with great power comes great responsibility, and with great power and killer women all around me.... Well, I don't really know a quote for that one. Point is: the Cherry Blossom Girls are changing things up. We're dressed to kill, pumped and primed, ready to spring into action at a moment's notice.

It's time for the Cherry Blossom Girls to become who we're meant to be. Solving murders? Taking on famous Hollywood actresses who have gone rogue? Exposing a terrible government program to the masses? Comes with the territory. One more mutant facility to destroy and we can set our sights on bigger things and faraway places. But it isn't going to be that easy, and there are other factors at play, risks we're going to have to take if we want to expose the truth. I just hope I'm ready to live up to the hype when the time comes.
