Alene Wecker never considered writing until she exhausted her to-be-read pile (gasp) while on bedrest. After lamenting to her husband that Jane Austen hadn’t released anything new in years (how rude!), he suggested she try crafting her own clean, witty Regencies. Though she laughed at the idea, the seed was planted, and soon she was plotting the characters, tropes, and mishaps she wanted to include. And thus, An Engagement of Sorts was born. Since then, Alene sneaks in writing sessions while raising her six kids. Her latest release, An Engagement of Errors, and her upcoming novella in A Longing for Christmas, continue her passion for clean, witty Regencies. She also wrote a historical fantasy, George & the Dragon, for her son, who was struggling to fall in love with reading.
