After various professional gigs as a junior high school phys ed teacher, actor, cryptographer, and improv comedian, Brian Primack settled on a career as a family physician, public health researcher, and dean. He's currently the Dean of the College of Public Health and Health Sciences at Oregon State University, where he leads a unit of over 2000 students, faculty, and staff who aim to improve lifelong wellbeing for all individuals, families, and communities. His personal research on media, technology, and health has resulted in over 250 peer-reviewed publications and $10 million in federal grant funding. Results from his studies have appeared in a wide variety of major new outlets, including the New York Times, NPR, the Washington Post, the Chicago Tribune, and the BBC.
