Thanks for visiting my page! I am an author, editor, and educator. I am from the Caribbean--I have lived in several islands, but I currently teach and write in Virginia, US. I started writing in 2006, beginning with the Caribbean Adventure Series, aimed at middle-grade children. While I still write for children, my first book for adults, What Start Bad a Mornin' is due out September 2023 and already has been receiving rave reviews. Writing children's books has given me the ability to combine my passions for writing and for positively impact children's lives. Also, writing for children is just plain fun. It gives me an excuse to think like a child once more. The idea for Adventure at Brimstone Hill came to me on a visit to the wonderful Brimstone Hill fort in St. Kitts in 2009. I pictured myself as a young child visiting the dungeons and imagined the sort of adventures that I could have there. Since then I have completed two more books in the Caribbean Adventure Series and three books about the mischievous little monkey, Chee Chee.
