Emma Heptonstall is a former lawyer now practising family mediation and divorce coaching. She specialises in supporting Ladies Who Leave to make smart emotional and financial decisions at the end of their marriages. Emma wrote this book to inspire you, the lady who is leaving, to take steps to move forward with courage and confidence. Emma is a certified MBit Coach, NLP Master Practitioner and the author of Understanding Divorce – 30 Daily Lessons. She has featured in Marie Claire, the Telegraph, and is a regular contributor to MeMeMe.online and Huffington Post. After training as a barrister and undertaking an LLM in Medical Ethics, Emma joined the Courts Service and spent 13 years as a legal adviser. In the latter part of her career, she trained in NLP and coaching for pleasure and began to use these techniques to great effect with families experiencing the challenges of relationship breakdown. Having decided to train as a family mediator, Emma left the legal profession and began her career as a family mediator, whilst also setting up her coaching practice. It was at this point that Emma began to niche her coaching to divorcing women, and Divorce Alchemy was born. Emma has coached ladies from around the world including Vietnam, South Africa and the United States, and works via Skype and FaceTime.
