In 1984, when Fern was fearful about sending her two eldest children to junior high school, she asked God for another mom with whom she could pray for their children and school. God answered her prayer in surprising ways by growing a ministry from one group of moms to women praying in every state in the USA and in more than 140 countries.
Moms in Prayer International's (formerly Moms in Touch) mission is to impact children and schools worldwide for Christ by gathering mothers to pray. The vision is that every school in the world would be covered in prayer.
Fern holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and taught elementary school. She has authored/co-authored several books.
