Joel Schwartzberg is a communications coach and writer whose clients represent industries and interests including healthcare, financial services, biopharmaceutical science, cybersecurity, personal insurance, and civil rights. Currently the Senior Presentation and Media Coach for Throughline Group in New York City, Joel served as Senior Director of Strategic and Executive Communications for a major national nonprofit and has held senior-level communication and editorial positions with Nickelodeon, PBS, and Time Inc. Interactive. An expert in the practice of successful presentations and point-making, Joel's articles have appeared in Harvard Business Review, Fast Company, MSNBC, and Inc., and he's been the featured guest on many business and communication podcasts. Joel is also a former public speaking state and national champion who was inducted into the National Forensic Association Hall of Fame in 2002. Joel is the author of "Get to the Point! Sharpen Your Message and Make Your Words Matter" and "The Language of Leadership: How to Engage and Inspire Your Team," and his personal essays have been published in The New York Times Magazine, Newsweek, The New York Daily News, The New York Post, New Jersey Monthly, and several Chicken Soup for the Soul anthologies.
