His book, The Astronaut Instruction Manual, has been optioned for television by Alcon Entertainment. Mike is the Official Ambassador of Johnny Appleseed in Space project to send apple seeds from original Johnny Appleseed apple trees to Space. Additionally, Mike is co-founder of OBEY, and creator of the Space is for Everybody and BUILD A STARSHIP initiatives. He lives in Los Angeles, CA.
