Dr. Nadina Galle is an ecological engineer, National Geographic Explorer, fellow at MIT Senseable City Lab, and a sought-after TEDx and keynote speaker. Internationally recognized, Nadina is best known for her pioneering work on the "Internet of Nature" (IoN), a global movement that harnesses emerging technologies to create nature-rich communities. Through her writing, speaking, and popular podcast, "Internet of Nature Podcast," she showcases the remarkable endeavors of these innovators. Nadina earned a joint BSc in ecology and evolutionary biology from the University of Toronto and the National University of Singapore, followed by an MSc in earth sciences from the University of Amsterdam. She completed her academic journey with a joint Ph.D. in ecological engineering from University College Dublin and Trinity College Dublin, with a Fulbright fellowship at MIT Senseable City Lab. Her groundbreaking Ph.D. research, featured in BBC Earth documentaries and National Geographic, earned her a prestigious “Space Oscar” from the European Space Agency. Forbes and Elsevier recognized her on their "30 under 30" lists for academic and entrepreneurial contributions to the IoN movement. Nadina's debut book, "The Nature of Our Cities: Harnessing the Power of the Natural World to Survive a Changing Planet," is scheduled for release by Mariner Books, an imprint of HarperCollins, in June 2024, and is currently open for pre-orders.
