Nathan Pedde was born in central British Columbia, Canada, and now lives in Alberta with his wife and two kids—though he still claims Vancouver Island weather was better. After high school, he studied at Capilano University and jumped into the film industry as a lamp operator, where he quickly learned that lights are heavy and 4 a.m. call times are not for the faint of heart. Since then, Nathan has worn more hats than a costume shop: gas station attendant, picture frame engraver, flood technician, delivery driver, and lumber mill worker. He’s pretty sure there's a story buried in each of those jobs—some more splintery than others. Nathan started writing in seventh grade with an illustrated fairy tale (he still insists it was "epic"), kept scribbling through high school and college, and eventually realized he couldn't not write. Somewhere along the way, hobby turned habit turned obsession. He writes both science fiction and fantasy, with a growing list of published novels and a towering stack of future plans.
