OpenStax course materials are the most widely used OER (Open Educational Resources) textbooks in the world. Always free in digital format, the books are available low cost in full-color hardcover and B&W paperback print formats. OpenStax sells official print versions of OpenStax textbooks on Amazon (sold by Amazon, ships from Amazon). All OpenStax textbooks are available for free download at the OpenStax dot org website, but as many students prefer to study with hardcopy books, we offer affordable OpenStax textbooks for sale through Amazon as well as most campus bookstores. OpenStax makes full-color hardcover and B&W paperback print copies available for students who prefer a hardcopy textbook to go with the free digital version of OpenStax titles. Print textbook content is exactly the same as the OpenStax digital book. OpenStax is a nonprofit educational initiative based at Rice University, whose mission is to give every student the tools they need to be successful in the classroom. OpenStax publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed, openly licensed college textbooks that are absolutely free online and low cost in print. Through partnerships with philanthropic foundations and alliances with other educational resource companies, OpenStax strives to break down the most common barriers to learning as they believe that a well-educated society profits us all.
