Paul Rodriguez was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1960. He formerly practised as a lawyer for over 30 years. For almost a third of his life he was afflicted by severe obstructive sleep apnoea. It often invaded his working and social life - not to mention the quality of his sleep. Over ten years ago he began to enjoy refreshing sleep without needing to rely on CPAP. So dramatic was the improvement in his health - he gained renewed energy and lost significant weight - he was inspired to write "Breathless Sleep...no more. A compelling case study". Essentially the scientifically based breathing method he was taught involved breathing with his diaphragm and only through his nose. In 2017 Paul was certified as a Buteyko Practitioner with two leading world organisations. He trained with Patrick McKeown, author and founder of Buteyko Clinic International. In 2018 Paul published a 2nd edition of his book. In 2019 Paul was certified as a Practitioner of Applied Mindfulness and teaches a 4 week online course on Mindful Buteyko Breathing.
