Rebecca Starford was born in Melbourne, Australia. She is the author of Bad Behaviour, a memoir about boarding school and bullying. The book has been optioned for television by Matchbox Pictures. Her first novel, An Unlikely Spy (known as The Imitator in Australia), will be published in June 2021.
She is also the cofounder and publishing director of Kill Your Darlings magazine. She also works as a freelance editor and creative writing teacher.
Rebecca currently lives in Brisbane with her partner, son and many pets.
