Yehudis Smith was born in South Africa and immigrated to the United States at the young age of 3 years old. She grew up in Tampa, Florida and always had a passion for writing. She attended the University of Florida where she received her BA in English Literature. After moving to New York City to pursue her dreams, she got a job teaching in a school on the Upper East Side. While working in an early childhood classroom, she fell in love with the intricacies of child development and attended Touro College. There she received her Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education (Special Education and General Education). After spending the next 13 years raising her own 4 children and teaching hundreds of children, she decided to end her time in the classroom and start her own business, through which she helps administrators, teachers, and parents alike: Imagined Educational Consulting, LLC. She also runs a successful Instagram account: @imaginedcoach.
