Publisher's Summary

With more and more people realizing the need to exercise, gyms are cropping up at every nook and corner, roads are occupied by recreational runners and yoga schools have an enviable waiting list. But along with this has grown the number of injuries and disillusionment at not getting 'results'. This leads to fads. It's the exact same place 'diet' was five years ago when Rujuta wrote her first book, Don't Lose Your Mind, Lose Your Weight. The basic problem is the complete lack of understanding about exercise, how it works and how to make it work for you.

Through this book Rujuta tackles pretty much every myth and fad to do with exercise, demystifies exercise for everyone and presents it as not a brainless activity but a science which has the potential to combat all lifestyle disorders, including diabetes and obesity, way better than any drug. Strength training, cardio and yoga get a detailed chapter each along with their pre- and postworkout meals, an often neglected but crucial aspect.

So whether you are a beginner or want to take your workouts to the next level, the sample training schedules and real-life workout examples with analysis and modifications will bridge the gap between knowing and doing and ensure that you are in a position to start and/or progress with a sensible, doable and wholesome exercise plan.

MOTIVATING....

The thing about Rujuta is....she motivates.....you don't need a skill to get an athlete or an actor to workout.....it's in their profession......but it takes a great deal of skill and talent to motivate a housewife or an old aged person to workout and she exactly did that...... explained all the principles and science behind exercise.....explained all do's and don't s .....explained how to plan exercise properly from beginner's to advanced.....and ofcourse explained the diet......it is a complete exercise book in itself....i strongly recommend this book to everyone....

Awesome book, don't lose out to hear this

Very nicely explained the myths about the exercise and has provided very clear instructions to be followed.
on the narration side I love Farah for having nuetral accent and the flavor of fillers with indiotic feeling.
Really great book, thank you very much Rujuta for such a great compilation put together.

Right way of exercise, narration on sounded

book gives many things to avoid in workout. also gives reasons why body fate is more even in regular and hard core exercises. also gives solutions to such problems. it covers from cardio, aerobic, anarobic, yoga etc

however narration is single sounded and doesn't make interest to listen. it was better if I could have read this book instead of listening.

Excellent book narrated really well.

Narrated really well in soothing voice. Best heard at 1.05x speed. The only downside is few Hindi/sanskrit words have been mispronounced. For ex when the author meant that we Indians want to die "haste haste", it's the hindi "haste " meaning laughing or at peace n not English hurry wala "haste". Apart from few minor mistakes, I found the audio book equally compelling. A go to guide for both fitness freaks n novice! 5 stars from me!

An eye opener

This book has got lot of information and it very underrated. Although the sarcasm in the early chapters is little annoying, I understand that it might have come from hearing wrong things repeatedly from people aiming to get fit. I’ll definitely listen to this once more as the information is huge.
