Publisher's Summary

What if you fell in love with the one person you’d sworn to destroy?

Lara has only one thought for her husband on their wedding day: I will bring your kingdom to its knees. A princess trained from childhood to be a lethal spy, Lara knows that the Bridge Kingdom represents both legendary evil - and legendary promise. The only route through a storm-ravaged world, the Bridge Kingdom controls all trade and travel between lands, allowing its ruler to enrich himself and deprive his enemies, including Lara’s homeland. So when she is sent as a bride under the guise of fulfilling a treaty of peace, Lara is prepared to do whatever it takes to fracture the defenses of the impenetrable Bridge Kingdom.

But as she infiltrates her new home - a lush paradise surrounded by tempest seas - and comes to know her new husband, Aren, Lara begins to question where the true evil resides. Around her, she sees a kingdom fighting for survival, and in Aren, a man fiercely protective of his people. As her mission drives her to deeper understanding of the fight to possess the bridge, Lara finds the simmering attraction between her and Aren impossible to ignore. Her goal nearly within reach, Lara will have to decide her own fate: Will she be the destroyer of a king or the savior of her people?

Absolutely amazing

I love it! The female lead is a beautifully crafted character, strong, unwavering and yet and the same time relatable. The book had me on my feet every single chapter, every chapter having some or the other unexpected twist. The chemistry between the main characters is also quite exotic and enticing. I definitely recommend listening to it. The performance was also really good. Kudos to the narrator. Can't wait to read the next book!!

this book may be have same story plots we listen so many but this... book Is good.

this is must listen... good story line...

specially in this book hero is not bad portrait... as In many books Normally authors do...

good book full of suspense.

only thing they portrait heroine is stupid... coz in one hand it's showing that is is best ... and still when she spent time with king... she still think what she told is true... and king is bad person.

The story is very engaging hard to give up.

The music between chapters is very annoying. The naration could have been better, but an engaging and gripping story line makes it hard to put dow

Lost Potential

The bridge of Ithicana is perhaps the most fascinating aspect and I so wish there was more dedicated to detailing it as well as some better explanation of Erenoll for the reader.

I'm not a big fan of soppy romance tales and maybe that's why I didn't enjoy it as much as many other readers. I had hoped for a very different tale considering the synopsis. I'm not disturbed by erotica and it was perhaps overdue in the construct of the tale.

I'm mostly disappointed with the protagonist, who's supposed to be strong but acts anything but strong. Also, there are numerous problems with the plot, it makes it feel unnatural. Her father and his council may not be aware of much else but not teaching her to swim or be on a boat seems like a major oversight in their plan. Perhaps, they should have included why they skipped that detail, if it was intentional.

Aren also overlooks many obvious ploys and issues, people's attitudes and MO's change overnight, with little reason. There was potential for greater character development and for the information she acquired to transpire in a different way.

I can't say it's horrible but it's disappointing when the world constructed is quite enchanting.
