  • Jesus said in Luke 9:23-24, "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me, For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it". We live in a society where self-indulgence and immediate gratification are prized over self-mastery. As disciples of Jesus Christ, we are instructed to put off the natural man and become a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord (Mosiah 3:19). To do this, we must deny ourselves of everything that is ungodly.
