  • Deny Yourselves
    Sep 23 2024

Jesus said in Luke 9:23-24, "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me, For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it". We live in a society where self-indulgence and immediate gratification are prized over self-mastery. As disciples of Jesus Christ, we are instructed to put off the natural man and become a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord (Mosiah 3:19). To do this, we must deny ourselves of everything that is ungodly.

  • The Church of the Lamb of God vs the church of the devil
    May 7 2024

"Behold there are save two churches only; the one is the church of the Lamb of God, and the other is the church of the devil; wherefore, whoso belongeth not to the church of the Lamb of God belongeth to that great church, which is the mother of abominations", an angel declared to the prophet Nephi in 1 Nephi 14:10 in the Book of Mormon. In our day, the devil has recycled his original tactic--forced equity--and it has infiltrated all of the major institutions of western society, along with the other tenets of cultural Marxism. Marxism and satanism are one in the same and are advancing at a rapid pace. Being aware of the dangers of social or cultural Marxism can help to protect our societies and us personally from the devil's most successful deception.

  • Accusation and Advocacy
    Feb 19 2024

Satan wants all of Father’s children to be under condemnation. He wants us to be miserable. He wants to draw attention to our sins and our weaknesses. He wants to exploit us and to destroy us. He constantly accuses us and the purpose of accusing someone is to cause a punishment to be enacted upon them.

Jesus, on the other hand, does the opposite. He gave His blood and His life so that you and I could escape condemnation. He wants us to be found innocent. He wants to draw the Father’s attention to Himself and away from our sins and our weaknesses. He desperately wants to help us avoid eternal punishment. "Listen to him who is the advocate with the Father, who is pleading your cause before him" (Doctrine & Covenants 45:3).

Lucifer is called "the accuser of our brethren" (Revelation 12:10) while Jesus is called "the advocate with the Father". Which will we be---an accuser or an advocate?
