Syracuse Orange Basketball lost both of its games in the Legends Classic to the Texas Longhorns and Texas Tech Red Raiders. Syracuse Head Coach Adrian Autry should be concerned about the three-point shooting this season. Chris Bell is under 30% from deep to start after being the second best shooter in the ACC last season. The defense improved with Jyare Davis and Lucas Taylor having strong performances against Tre Johnson and JT Toppin. Syracuse also did move up in the KenPom rankings, despite the losses.

Syracuse Orange Football got its eighth win of the season, taking down the UConn Huskies 31-24. Kyle McCord led Fran Brown's Syracuse squad with 477 yards and three total touchdowns. Oronde Gadsden, Jackson Meeks, and Darrell Gill each recorded over 100 receiving yards for the Cuse, but Syracuse did lose receivers Trebor Pena and Umari Hatcher due to injury. Justin Barron and Duce Chestnut made critical defensive stops against UConn. Finally, the stage is set for the Orange to host the Miami Hurricanes with ESPN's College Gameday potentially coming to town.

Syracuse Orange Basketball dropped both games of the 2024 Legends Classic. Tonight it was to the Texas Tech Red Raiders led by JT Toppin and Darrion Williams' combined 35 points. JJ Starling led Adrian Autry's Syracuse squad with 27 points and Chris Bell also had 22 points. However, five-star freshman Donnie Freeman struggled with four turnovers. The Orange are better off playing the hot-hand going forward between: Freeman, Jyare Davis, and Petar Majstorovic.

Syracuse Orange Basketball tipped off the first of two games of the Legends Classic against the Texas Longhorns. Texas led by as much as 16 points in the second half, but Adrian Autry's squad battled back thanks to outstanding performances by Eddie Lampkin and Jyare Davis. However, the Orange couldn't complete the comeback due to poor throw shooting from Jaquan Carlos at the end, and a bad mistake by Chris Bell. Texas guard/forward Tre Johnson sealed the win with four throws in the final minute.
