பொதுவாக, நகைச்சுவைக் கதைகளின் ஆயுள்காலம் மிகவும் சொற்பம். உலக அளவில் எடுத்துக் கொண்டால் கூட, இன்று வரை நீடித்து நிற்கும் நகைச்சுவைக் கதைகளின் பெயர்களை ஒரு உள்ளங்கையில் எழுதிவிடலாம். தேவனின் ஸ்ரீமான் சுதர்சனம் அந்தப் பட்டியலில் மிகச் சுலபமாக வரும்.

Devan became famous all over Tamilnadu in one day with just one article. When I first read the article in the manuscript, I wondered who this person was who wrote the lives of children with such joy. I felt immense joy when I learned that this person was a young man who was not yet 20 years old. God is the one who can write not only the little joys and sorrows of children but also the great little joys and sorrows of old people with such joy.
