Once upon a very badly behaved time, 511-year-old Ebenezer kept a beast in his attic. He would feed the beast all manner of objects and creatures, and in return, the beast would vomit him up expensive presents. But then The Bethany arrived. Now 10-year-old notorious prankster Bethany, along with her new feathery friend Claudette, is determined that she and Ebenezer are going to DE-BEAST their lives and do good. But Bethany finds that being a notorious prankster makes it hard to get taken on for voluntary work. And Ebenezer is secretly missing the beast's vomity gifts.

Das Biest bekommt was auch immer es fressen will und im Gegenzug erhält Ebenezer, das wonach er verzweifelt verlangt - einen Trank, der ihm ewige Jugend und Unsterblichkeit verspricht.

Why not just make the cake? That's a question countless people across the country started asking in 2012, when Jack Phillips told two men who walked into his Masterpiece Cakeshop that he couldn't create a custom cake for their same-sex wedding. And the question only grew more urgent as Phillips had to defend himself first before the Colorado Civil Rights Commission and then numerous courts - losing at every step of the way until the US Supreme Court ruled in his favor in June 2018.

Ebenezer Tweezer is a youthful 511-year-old. He keeps a beast in the attic of his mansion, who he feeds all manner of things (including performing monkeys, his pet cat and the occasional cactus) and in return the beast vomits out presents for Ebenezer, as well as potions which keep him young and beautiful. But the beast grows ever greedier, and soon only a nice, juicy child will do. So when Ebenezer encounters orphan Bethany, it seems like (everlasting) life will go on as normal. But Bethany is not your average orphan.

In Miss Muddles Süßigkeitenladen stellt Bethany allerlei süße Kreationen her und Ebenezer betreibt nun einen Wohltätigkeitsverein, obgleich er immer noch nicht besonders gut darin ist, so richtig gut zu sein. Aber da das Biest nie dazu bestimmt war, lange eingesperrt zu bleiben, taucht es urplötzlich wieder auf! Bethany und Ebenezer erleben ihre bisher schlimmste Überraschung.
