Between that, a cute secret agent on the run (partly my fault), and the boss of Steelheart gunning for my shop (mostly my fault), I really had my hands full.

She's always been a little different, so I had to look out for her—we usually just watched movies and played games together. One day, a suspicious pink-haired chick burst into the store, warning me not to watch a tape labeled Property of Steelheart—Do Not Watch! So obviously, I did, and a terrifying ghost crawled out of the screen.

I was about to be promoted to Deputy Manager, when a strange voice—coming from a glowing gem I found in the stationery drawer—told me I was meant for more. Before my boss' eyes, I was transported to a fantasy world of mana and monsters. When I felled the foul beasts, the gem embedded in my hand absorbed their essence—a light that made me more adept with weapons. With a sword on my hip and an adorable apothecarist at my side, I’ll trek to the mysterious towers built by the evil witch king. We don’t know why he built them, but we think they’re the source of his power.

But I didn't pass the test. They said I didn't have it in me. Years later, a run-in with a sassy goth mage named Misty revealed I could do magic. Those damn monocle-wearing pseudo-Victorians at the academy locked me out! Screw them.

One minute I’m in a tree, pointing my camera at a tiger, the next I’m on my back in a medieval fantasy world, while a skittish blonde hovers over me, hoping I’m not dead. I’ve never felt more alive.

Some men get Sundays off to catch up with the DIY. I spend mine fighting the neighborhood monsters. After a peaceful vacation relaxing on the beach with my gorgeous demon babes, I return home to be confronted by some crazy new neighbors—and I don’t mean gossipers or HOA fanatics. My house is full of beautiful demi-humans, so a few more monsters around couldn’t hurt, right? Well, when a mysterious ailment begins sweeping through the neighborhood, I begin to doubt that.

I’m a DIY wizard with magic powers, but that doesn’t stop demons from trying to kill me. Once a successful realtor, I gave up the corporate life to pursue my passion: spending time with my ragtag family and repairing my mansion. I’ve got my work cut out for me. The sweet nymph needs me to winter-proof the garden, the boisterous dullahan needs a new stable, and our goth demon roomie needs a place to work on her projects. And to reward my hard work, the hearth goddess has continued to bless me with strength and magic. I can manipulate plants and reap souls, which is pretty cool.
