New beginnings await Georgia Carpenter as opening day for the Sea Glass Inn approaches. It’s all very exciting, but there are a million things to be done. And a million fires to be put out. With the constant reminder that nothing good ever comes easy, she and Travis Taylor, her handsome handyman, conquer each problem that arises, bringing them closer than ever before. The Christmas party at the Sea Glass Inn is a long-held tradition, one the townspeople of Blackbird Beach consider the kick-off of the Christmas season. Until, of course, the inn closed, and the party stopped happening. Now Georgia Carpenter has decided it’s time to restart that tradition, even though the party is a massive undertaking and one that will influence how people feel about the inn for the rest of the year. With the help of her sister, Lilly, Georgia hopes to put on an event that will be merry and bright and spark new interest in the business.

There’s a wedding on the horizon, and Georgia Carpenter couldn’t be happier. But that doesn’t mean she’s lost sight of everything that still needs to be done to get the Sea Glass Inn ready for opening. Not only is she preparing for that, but the magazine photoshoot is right around the corner, too. As is the town council election. Most people think Travis Taylor, the inn’s handsome handyman, is a shoo-in, but with Lavinia Major as his opponent, anything could happen. And probably will.

The search is on! The body of the latest minion of the demigod Aeyr was barely cold when we found our next urgent task. Some dude calling himself the Searcher, on the hunt for explorers and scholars, with the goal of ending their careers…and their lives.

On the suggestion of my exquisite prophetess Qamara, we’re heading to the Traisel Commonwealth, a land of myriad beastkin communities. I’m not sure what we’ll find there, but I expect my uninvited frequent visitor will make an appearance. You’d think that having a smoking hot catgirl following you around would be a good thing, but it’s not in this case. She’s an assassin, and she’s tried to kill me several times already. Truly a bad kitty.

A gorgeous elf swordswoman bent on revenge in a kingdom where the sword is everything? Not what I had in mind when Brin, Tyra, Tip, and I went hunting more bad guys. But hey, did I mention the gorgeous elf woman? Sariel Snowblossom has a problem. One we can help her with. To get justice, she must undertake the trials to become a swordmaster. Awakened in as Dungeon Lord, he can access a system interface that rewards excellence. Years of training never prepared him for a challenge so daunting, but he's not alone. With each successful defense, his power grows and one thing is certain, Gregory has no problem defending his dungeon and those in it he holds dear.

The city obsessed with turning metal into anything one could wish for. While searching the city for Brin’s missing magical items, I literally run into a gorgeous green woman. A goblin girl. Her father, a renowned blacksmith, has been murdered and she needs help finding out who did the deed. With no other leads on how we’ll find our way to dispense justice to the ones responsible for my best friend’s death, we agree to help her.

I’ve always been a scrapper, so when I was snatched from my world by shadow creatures and hauled to another one, I did as I’d always done. I fought. But I still didn’t know anything about where I was. My luck was in, because I quickly had the good fortune of meeting a sexy prophetess and a gorgeous, blue-skinned, redheaded mage who said she was something called a moonwisp. Yeah, magic was a thing. The problem with that? Everyone in the world had some. Magic, that is. Everyone but me. I guess that’s what I get for coming from a non-magic world.

I was hanging out with some buddies, doing a little caving, when everything went south. When I woke up, I was in some kind of medieval dungeon. Totally naked and in the dark. Luckily, I had a neighbor in a cell near me. One with a decidedly sexy feminine voice. When she explained to me that she was due to be executed and I was in line to be brainwashed, there was only one thing to do. We had to escape.

Alisa, Lars and Ivy succeed in getting the book on Dracula’s history. They find out more information about Dracula’s long-lost love Elisabetha and what happened to her and Dracula. Dracula is on his way together, with his shadow vampire, to the Belov ruby of Russia. Tonka, who has an angry Dracula to please, tries to compel little Tammo in stealing a ruby from the Contessa’s neck.

On the ship the Elisabetha the vampires set sail for Hamburg, to save the Vamalias from the Redmasks. Alisa is discovered by a Redmask but manages to escape through the roof in the attic. In the street she is stopped by Hindrik, who came back to save her. Alisa meets the other Heirs when they arrive on the ship. The Heirs hear that they’re on the ship to start vampire school.

Calvina wants Nicu to join her to a Redmask meeting. Reading her mother’s words Alisa’s world changes; she’s warned never to trust a Dracas. Lars wants to prove he can be trusted even if he’s a Dracas, but Alisa needs some distance and goes into town. The clan leaders find out that Dracula is alive. While Malcolm teaches the class about his power - controlling the weather - things turn into chaos.

The Conte and Contessa do not want to believe Dracula is alive. He has been captured. Since Dracula and Alisa are connected by the Spark Alisa gets trapped into a coma. Lars is the only one who has the power to help Alisa. As Alisa awakes, she feels that most of the special powers have left her body. But she is alive, thanks to Lars.

Alisa and Nicu are in a police cell and Tonka burns the book on Dracula. Conte Claudio learns about the waitress that has been bitten in town. Contessa Viola goes to see if she can find this vampire, the Conte checks if all the heirs are on board and if no one has been drinking human blood. Lars sacrifices himself to get Alisa back on the ship without the others noticing. Alisa is thankful.

Lars af Dracas overhears the Noaidi predict the future of all vampires; if the clans don’t reunite, they will go extinct. His father sends out a message to the other four remaining clans to join forces. On the mystical ship the Elisabetha, the other vampire clans come to an understanding. At the market Alisa’s fangs accidentally pop out and humans panic because she’s a vampire.

Nicu and his mom also arrive in Italy. Alisa wants to find out more about Dracula and the Knot and goes to the library. Just as she finds a book on Dracula, she bumps into Nicu. They reconnect again. Since this was clearly meant to be, Nicu asks Alisa out to dinner. In the restaurant Tonka steals the book on Dracula from Alisa.

On the Elisabetha Tonka wants to snatch the Nosferas ruby from the Contessa’s neck. When Alisa gets back from town, she finds her friends in danger. She wants Tonka to take her instead of her friends. The Contessa promised Alisa’s mother to keep the Spark safe and tries to protect her and the other heirs. The Redmasks are coming. Alisa tells Lars she knows and trusts him.
