Dr. Stewart Lonky is a leading expert on obesity, with nearly 40 years of experience in clinical, academic, and research settings. As the founder and medical director of West Coast Cardiopulmonary, Inc., he focuses on the link between weight, behavior, and environmental factors. Dr. Lonky earned his medical degree at Downstate Medical Center and completed his residency at UC San Diego Health, followed by a pulmonary disease and biochemistry fellowship through the NIH. He also holds an MBA from Pepperdine University. A pioneer in his field, Dr. Lonky was the first to publish research on using activated natural zeolite to remove toxic metals from the body. His work also linked oxygen deprivation to obesity, offering new perspectives on weight-related health issues. Co-author of Invisible Killers: The Truth About Environmental Genocide, Dr. Lonky continues his mission to combat obesity through research and education. He lives in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara with his wife, Marilyn, their two daughters, and four grandchildren.
