About this listen
Lanka will burn. Darkness will perish.
But can light endure?
India, 3400 BCE.
Greed. Rage. Grief. Love. Smouldering tinder, waiting to trigger a war.
But this war is different. This one is for Dharma. This war is for the greatest goddess of them all.
Sita has been kidnapped. Defiantly, she dares Raavan to kill her–she’d rather die than allow Ram to surrender.
Ram is beside himself with grief and rage. He prepares for war. Fury is his fuel. Calm focus, his guide.
Raavan thought he was invincible. He thought he’d negotiate and force a surrender. Little did he know...
The first three books of the second-fastest-selling book series in Indian publishing history–the Ram Chandra series–explore the individual journeys of Ram, Sita and Raavan. In this, the epic fourth book of the series, their narrative strands crash into each other and explode in a slaughterous war.
Will Ram defeat the ruthless and fiendish Raavan, constrained as he is by the laws of Dharma? Will Lanka burn to a cinder or fight back like a cornered tiger? Will the terrible costs of war be worth the victory?
Most importantly, will the Vishnu rise? And will the real enemies of the land fear the Vishnu? For fear is the mother of love.

It is an irony of fate that despite being an extremely important and immortal character in the saga of Mahabharata, Ashwatthama has always been neglected. There are other characters in puranic literature, including Ashwatthama, who are considered immortal. But where other characters have received immortality in the form of a boon, Ashwatthama received in the form of a curse!

Story
The second book in the Ajaya series, Kali ka Uday tells the story of the vanquished in the epic war Mahabharata. The book narrates the story from the point of view of the Kauravas. The story starts with the Kaurava prince Duryodhana challenging Krishna before the apocalyptic war breaks out. The author describes a city waiting with bated breadth for the outcome of the war. While women, noblemen, priests and humble beings helplessly watch the war and its consequences unfold in front of them, the greedy traders circle the skies in anticipation of what's to come next.

Story
R.K. Narayan’s reputation as one of the founding figures of Indian writing in English is re-examined in this comprehensive study of his fiction, which offers detailed readings of all his novels. Arguing against views that have seen Narayan as a chronicler of “authentic” Indianness, John Thieme locates his fiction in terms of its specific South Indian contexts and cultural geography and its non-Indian intertexts.

Story
The Mahabharata endures as the great epic of India. But while Jaya is the story of the Pandavas, told from the perspective of the victors of Kurukshetra, Ajaya is the narrative of the ‘unconquerable’ Kauravas, who were decimated to the last man. At the heart of India’s most powerful empire, a revolution is brewing. Bhishma, the noble patriarch of Hastinapura, is struggling to maintain the unity of his empire. On the throne sits Dhritarashtra, the blind King, and his foreign-born Queen - Gandhari.

NOT GOOD!!wrong narrator selected......
nothing to say about the book, as I am a regular listener of ameesh's book and Atul Kapoor the narrator has very good voice but with this book he is not able to do justice. No voice modulation, No right pauses, sometimes it felt like he is in hurry of ending the dialogue.

I loved the storyline but the narration could have been better. I also miss the background music and sound effects like that of the Shiva Trilogy and the english version of the same audiobook. The entire Ramchandra Series deserves to be an immersive audiobook series

Too much voice modulation
Increasing unnecessary base of voice and over voice modulation ruined the experience, just like overacting does.. If you want to know how an ideal Hindi Audiobook should sound, listen 'Animal Form'
